Online Request for free bus to Seafarer's Centre

As from 1 January 2025 the bus service can only be requested online. 

Steps to request the Bus: 

1. Enter the request page https://connect.depolder.be/seamen before 17:00 hrs. 

2. Fill in the required data: your name, vessel name, berth, number of passengers. 

3. Next to Berth you will find a drop-down list of pickup stops and times. Click on the appropriate stop to see the pickup time. Pickup time will vary between 18:15 and 19:18 hrs. depending on the stop. All stops are outside the terminal main gate with the exception of 621 (Advario Stolthaven), 1235 (ICO) and 1333 (AET) where the bus will pick up at or nearby the vessel. 

4. Finalize the request by clicking on Register.

5. If there are requests for pickup, then return from seafarers’ centre to ship at 23:00 hrs.

The city center is easily accessible from Seafarers' Welfare / Antwerp Harbour Hotel ( AHH).

Public Transport

On the Groenendallaan, located opposite the Antwerp Seafarers' Welfare / Antwerp Harbour Hotel, tram 6 runs every 10 minutes towards Central Station. / Sportpaleis.

Tram 1 also stops every 10 minutes on Noorderlaan heading in the direction of Opera / Zuid.

Various bus lines also stop at the same stop, all in the direction of the City Centre (Rooseveltplaats). Waiting times can be slightly longer on weekends.

Make sure you have a valid ticket.

Tickets can be purchased at the Welfare Shop and AHH Reception. A return journey ticket costs €5 ( single ride € 2.50). Alternatively, 10-ride tickets are available for €17 and can be shared among multiple people.

All indicated lines heading towards the city center. The stopping point is opposite the Antwerp Harbour Hotel ( AHH).

Taxi Fares

You can order a taxi at the reception of the Antwerp Harbour Hotel ( AHH).

To City Center, Groenplaats, Central Station: approximately € 15 to € 20.

Museum aan de Stroom (MAS): approximately € 10 to € 15.

Sportpaleis, Lotto Arena: € 10 to € 15.

An alternative means of transport is the bicycle, which you can rent at the reception-AHH for € 12.50 per day—information at the hotel reception.

Bicycles are also available at the AHH for sailors who want to visit the city.
